Point Defiance Park Engagement Photography | TacomaToday we were at Point Defiance Park and Zoo in Tacoma We would love to introduce Sarah and Derek. We just love photographing people during their Engagement Session. This cute, vibrant and playful couple are Sarah is hopping on her man's back while taking a fun and cute photograph This picture was taken at Point Defiance Park, right along the main parking area close to the zoo on August 2, 2015 at 2:00pm. Camera gear is super important, and photographing the subject just right is something we take very seriously. We used the Canon EOS 5D Mark III with a EF 70-200mm f2.8 lens and a Speedlite flash system. to photograph them. When photographing our subjects, careful consideration is paid to every aspect of the picture. But with this, a lot of stuff goes right. For example, in this picture it was taken alongside a hill, right up from the pond at the entrance of the park There were some challenges with this picture. For example, dealing with harsh, direct sunlight is a challenge, even for the most skilled and professional of photographers. We overcome this by finding shade, or using a scrim to shield the subject from direct and harsh sunlight. As a wedding and engagement photographer, we not only look at the picture. Taking great engagement pictures means looking at the whole entire scene, not just the subject you want to take a picture of. For example, colors. Colors are very important as they draw the attention of the viewer to the picture. In this particular photograph, Sarah is wearing a red dress and Derek is wearing a blue, button up shirt Photography for your special event is fun.
